Rex Briggs is an award-winning AI and data expert with over 25 years of experience in artificial intelligence. He holds five patents and has been a pioneer in digital measurement and AI applications. Rex co-authored What Sticks(2006) and SIRFs Up (2012), both of which are required reading at leading universities. He is the Subject Matter Expert in AI and Data Science for MMA Global, where he advances AI’s role in marketing. Rex’s groundbreaking work during the COVID-19 pandemic earned him the 2022 Change Maker award from the Market Research Council for saving lives through AI applications. He is also a board member at Cal Poly’s College of Business Analytics and mentors growth-stage companies on scaling their businesses.

Caleb Briggs began coding at the age of 10 and developed his first AI applications by 14, mastering Lisp, the first-generation AI programming language. His high school thesis, “Fundamental Restrictions on the Current State-of-the-Art in AI,” gained significant attention for its innovative perspective on AI’s weaknesses. Currently studying pure mathematics and computer science at Reed College, Caleb has a well-rounded expertise in genetic algorithms, machine vision, and natural language processing. His work has been recognized by industry leaders, including Jens Peter Clausen of Google, who praised Caleb’s ability to articulate AI’s limitations better than anyone else. Caleb’s contributions to The AI Conundrum provide a unique blend of conceptual and mathematical insights, making complex AI topics accessible and actionable for practitioners.
