Ensure the Hayek Legacy
The Hayek Group is building an endowment to ensure its mission of promoting freedom and prosperity can be pursued into the indefinite future. The Hayek Group is a Nevada non-profit with Federal 501(c)3 Tax Identification # 46-4489924. You can help build this Hayek Legacy in the following ways:
Unrestricted Endowment Donation
With an eye toward providing long-term sustainability for The Hayek Group, Gretchen Hass provided a large donation to The Hayek Group in 2021 to establish an endowment.
The Board of Directors of The Hayek Group manages The Hayek Group Endowment through an Endowment Policy and Investment Policy that ensure prudent investing and strong oversight.
The Hayek Group Endowment provides sustainability by funding the administrative expenses of The Hayek Group. Because these administrative expenses are kept to a minimum by our all-volunteer board, the endowment earnings are also available to be a catalyst for future Hayek Group initiatives. Your unrestricted endowment donation gives the Board of Directors of They Hayek Group discretion to apply your funds where the need is greatest.
Gifts to the Hayek Group Endowment may be made through direct contributions, pledges, and planned giving options.

Directed Endowment Donation
Gifts to the endowment can be directed, depending on your interests and objectives. At present, the directed interests you might consider are:
- K-12 Financial Literacy: Your directed donation here will help The Hayek Group continue to provide curriculum to K-12 schools in Northern Nevada to facilitate the financial freedom that comes with learning how to manage your own personal finances.
- Hobnobber Program: Your directed donation here will help The Hayek Group continue to provide Hayekian Education, Financial Education, and Personal Development skills to high school and college aged youth.
- Hayek Group Dinner Meetings: Your directed donation here will help The Hayek Group continue to provide monthly dinner meetings featuring high quality speakers.
- Some new initiative you would like to support in alignment with the mission of The Hayek Group.

Bequest Donation (Planned Giving)
The Hayek Group would be honored to be included in your will or trust.
When received, your bequest will be recorded as a gift to our endowment. There are three types of bequests you can consider: Specific, Residual or Contingent. While you can and should consult with your legal advisor, sample language is provided below
Specific:
“I give, devise and bequeath to The Hayek Group, a nonprofit corporation of the State of Nevada, tax ID # 46-4489924, P.O. Box 34211, Reno, NV 89533 the sum of $____________.
Residual:
“I give, devise and bequeath to The Hayek Group, a nonprofit corporation of the State of Nevada, tax ID # 46-4489924, P.O. Box 34211, Reno, NV 89533, all the residue of my estate, including real personal property.”
Contingent:
“In the event of the death of any of the beneficiaries, I give, devise and bequeath to The Hayek Group, a nonprofit corporation of the State of Nevada, tax ID # 46-4489924, P.O. Box 34211, Reno, NV 89533 (percentage, specific, or residual language as above).”
